I purchased this software yesterday after looking at the 30 day free trial.
Thanks to Les for the info that the Info on the Home depot CD can also be exported to the estimator also.
This also What i liked about this, is the HD software can be updated daily for wire pricing.
Has anybody used this software before and any comments are appreciated

If anybody wants to download the trial version maybe we can do some practice estimates on the Business Chat on Wednesday.

here is the link

I've used the Home Depot Worksite CD which ties into Craftsman labor and HD materials. It has worked fine for me. As usual, you need to adjust for job conditions and past experience.

I've used TNE for almost 10 years now.
Used the HD CD for over 2.

I've been looking for someone to hose the HD CD (404kb) zip for some time now. It used to free, but it seems unavailable anywhere now.

On other forums, when new EC's ask about estimating programs I usually refer them to amazon.com where you can pick up TNE for $33 w/o ANY s/h or tax fees - beats the Craftsman site where it is $52 + s/h.

Both products(as they are the same products packaged/marketed differently) also tie in nicely to Quickbooks.

HD is still supporting the Worksite CD, and the Pro Desk should have them.

"HD is still supporting the Worksite CD, and the Pro Desk should have them."

Called my local HD and the Prod Desk was only "vaguely" familiar with what I was asking about. Suggested I go on-line.

Does any one know where to get the Home Depot Worksite CD, a copy of the CD, or someplace on-line to down ooad it?

Steve

Thanks
Steve

I have my local HD pro desk researching this. He is trying to get hold of the district manager. I will post when they get back in touch.

All -

Went to my local HD today. The Pro Desk guy told me that HD no longer has or supports the Worksite CD. He said that there was something like it on-line.

I also received an email from HD in response to my inguiry, which I am posting below:

"Thank you for contacting homedepot.com!

First, we would like to apologize for the delay in providing a response
to your e-mail. We are putting forth our best efforts to answer the
questions and concerns of all of our customers in the most qualitative
and expedient manner possible. We greatly appreciate your patience and
patronage!

At this time we no longer offer this CD. We do, however, welcome you to
our Contractor Services feature online. This feature brings you a
customized online experience, allowing you to efficiently shop some of
the products carried by your preferred store. Now you can reliably
assemble your materials lists for upcoming jobs on your own schedule.
>From your home or office, at any time of the day or night, we are ready
to help you get the job done.

Create your order, submit it online to your preferred store for
fulfillment, and arrange for convenient pickup or delivery.
Alternatively, print your order and take it to the Contractor Services
Desk in your preferred store. Either way, you'll find that we help make
your jobs run more efficiently.

To take advantage of this service, please visit us at www.homedepot.com,
highlight the "Services" tab at the top of our site, and click on
"Contractor Services." On the following page, click on the "Get started
now" link. You will then need to select a product category to proceed.
Once a category has been selected, you will be prompted for a zip code
to identify our local stores. Select the store that you wish to shop,
and start shopping!

If we can be of any further assistance, please feel free to contact us
again.

Sincerely,

Anthony
homedepot.com"

It sounds like they had something good and let it go.

Steve

Thanks
Steve

I have the CD & it still updates prices online, so they are still supporting it. They may have lost their tie-in to Craftsman which provided the labor portion of the estimating software.

I'd offer to email it, but it's over 600MB. If you got the Craftsman Nat'l Electrical Estimator & got material prices from your supplier, you'd have the same deal as the CD.
