I found this interesting old transformer while browsing eBay and immediately thought of ECN's nostalgia area!

It says "Crompton-Parkinson Ltd Hayes Middlesex England", this company is still manufacturing Electrical gear!.
How old do you reckon this transformer is?.

The guy selling it reckons 1930s, which looks about right from the photos.

A wooden CT case!.
Now that would keep them nasty Eddy currents under control.

Trumpy — The true emeritus members of the instrumentation and physics community are spitting blood lately. What us young punks call "Eddy" currents are properly termed Edward or even more formally Edwardian Currents.   ;-)
