While visiting the chat room, the idea came up that perhaps we could have an informal discussion about building codes that influence the electrician. I would like to know if anyone would be interested in this.

Please feel free to post your ideas for topics here, or e-mail them to me at Code_enforcer@netzero.com

I think this could not only be a nice learning experience for all (myself included), but it could also be a lot of fun.

Ryan,

Definitely!!

I propose a regular weekly event at your convenience. Pick a day and time, I'll be there.

As far as topics goes, how about firestopping/fire-rated walls?

That is a great idea Ryan!!! It would help me out tremendously.

Would anyone mind if I occaisionally asked Ryan a plumbing code question?

I know I certainly wouldn't mind.

I must add that the idea isn't mine, I simply accepted the challenge. The credit should go to many people who were chatting last night with me.

Dear Mike!
I tried to join the chat but a pop up window always asks me to rewrite my password and it isn't good. I asked to send me my password and I remembered well, I tried again but still not allowed.
What should I do?
Maybe the problem is that I changed my password in the forum, and I should use the old one in the chat?

Russ,
I hear you there!.
I get into the Chat rooms to learn things also.
Purely and simply.
Just a shame that the Fire Calls prevent me from learning more.

Gloria,

That could be it. Try the old password. If it works let me know or send an Email to Webmaster@Electrical-Contractor.net and ask that the Chatroom Password be updated to match the new Forum password.

Dear Bill, I did it, I wrote an e-mail. Hope to see you sometime on line! As well, of course Trumpy, my friend on the Great South! Hey, Trumpy, I hope your winter will be less freezing! :~)

Dear Bill, and Mike!
Now I can log into the chat, but no one's there. Did I miss something and you have "open hours"? :~)))
