Christmas TV has gotten attrocious in England. Some of the garbage they turn out now is just unbelievable.
I'm a great fan of old TV and movies, so I'm quite happy to see classic favorites repeated. After all, it wouldn't be Christmas without.....
BBC2 Xmas Day, 5:50pm
It's A Wonderful Life
It's usually a 50/50 guess as to whether we'll have The Wizard of Oz or Chitty Chitty Bang Bang over the holidays (the latter this year). Timeless kids movies that those of us who are "big kids" can still watch over and over.
The repeats that I do
object to are their "another chance to see classic comedy from the 1980s" or some such nonsense. Most of it was trash when it was made in the 1980s -- It's still trash!
I'll just go back a great many more years and watch James Stewart, thanks!
