Hi,

Starting a new chatroom is open thread. --- In chatroom now.

Was also wondering if perhaps we could discuss a European Chat time that might be suitable for Euro members of the board?

Perhaps Saturday or Sunday afternoon or some evening during the week?

Can we propose some times in GMT (just for the sake of clarity)

I'm proposing 3pm GMT on Sunday.

Hi there Dave,
I've suggested this a few times and had very little response.
That is not to say that this would be a silly idea.
If we could get some ideas from the guys in this area from England, possibly Aussie and even that fella that lives in France, surely we should be able to come up with a time that is suitable for us all.
Not forgetting Ragnar, C-H and Eli, either.
The time zones are never kind to any sort of international schedule and there will always be someone that will miss out.

It is my understanding that the chat room is open all the time you just need to log in.

I think it is a good idea for us Europeans to log in at 3pm on a Sunday on a regular basis

Yes/NO

OK Kenny,
That is quite true, but it would be good to have a standard log-in time.

I think the problem is that many of us often have no idea in advance exactly when we'll be around (I've certainly been in that position the last few weeks!).

I'd go along with 3 p.m. GMT as being a pretty good time for most of us here in the U.K., with the added point that the equivalent 4 p.m. is probably reasonable for our members on the Continent too. Or would 2 p.m. GMT / 3 p.m. CET be better?

Good point Paul never thought of that I vote for 2pm GMT

Though I have to make apologies I will not be online tomorrow. I have the daughter and her inlaws comming over and there is nothing more rude than leaving them to go on the net....well apart from people who take mobile phone calls whilst in company but heck that is another topic .....

Sorry, I wasn't able to be online any time this afternoon, as I ended up spending two hours trying to sort out what should have been a 10-minute computer problem for somebody.

Any more thoughts folks?

Perhaps european memebers should just also try to open the chatroom anytime you're posting to the board. It encourages sporadic chats!

Just to let you know that I'm leaving the chatroom open and minimised. So, if anyone's around drop in and say hello
