Here is an image from my collection that I thought you might want to post.

It has to do with sealing up panels so creatures cannot get inside!

I hope you don't have a weak stomach.

This was taken in July of 2001 at a retirement home in Gardena, Calif.

They said that it smelled through the
entire building (smell traveled through the conduits) and it wasn't the first time it had happened.

In case you can tell, it is/was a Possum.

The skull was about the size of a fist. The little things all over it are/were the maggots that ate the cooked meat.

Clean-up involved a shop-vacuum, gloves, face mask (should of had an breathing tank), and a wire brush.

As my dad says, "That's enough to gag a maggot!"

...Roast possum a la ITE...yummm...

Sometimes I wonder if it is indeed possible to seal panels (and other electrical devices) sufficiently to keep out the beasties. Found a mouse (the still alive kind) in a sqD 200a. safety switch the other day, while changing a burned out fuse. The cover was tightly closed, and there were no open KO's. The only way mousie could get in there was to crawl through the conduit from somewhere else.

Beasties are VERY determined...

We had a power outage in my neighbor hood once because a rat crawled in the transfomer. Bye Bye rat.

I have had to clean up a rat like that once. Don't know how I did it. I think I looked away and thought some happy thoughts while I did it.

I could not do it again. After 2 kids and the diapers and 2 dogs I have lost my stomach. Fortunatley the wife is understanding and cleans up after the dogs in the yard.
