As I look through the palet of material for my next job supplied by an old line American company that bought the items from other established American companies who had them made in China, India or whereever I ask my self this question? WHY IS IT WRONG FOR AMERICA TO BE DEPENDENT ON FOREGIN OIL BUT IT IS GOOD FOR AMERICA TO DEPENDENT ON FOREGIN MANUFACTURED GOODS ?

Hypress, I feel your pain...but this is a trade forum, and not a political one. We could easily spend days venting on free markets, the unfairness of life, and such- with much the same results as if we just peed in our pants (might make us feel warm all over, but what would it accomplish?)

It's just too braod an issue, and too prone to rabble-rousing and hurt feelings, to work on this forum.
