If there were to be additional electrical work needed there, and an inspector saw this, could the inspector red-tag it? Same for a plumbing inspector...?

This reminds me of "paper, scissors, rock" or whatever that game is called. I guess the electric is paper, the gas is scissors, and the water would be the rock--if this thing got wet...
