Dang, I left my Sprite back there....

So Joe, do you and Mike Holt hang out and cruise for violations often? (I imagine you both hit the same convention circuits?) Does it start like this.... A few drinks after the shows are over, and then the inevidable words, "Lets find the panels in this joint!"

Ahh, I shouldn't talk.... Found out my wife knows more about circuit calculations than some engineers, just from hearing me and the guys talk shop.

It's FAR worse than that, they don't hang out..... you'll hear it here for the first time......
Joe and Mike ARE THE SAME PERSON!!!!!!!!!!

Think about it.... Have you EVER seen them together in the same room?????? You can believe if they're at the same function there's a phone booth somewhere nearby.

Mark, George,
You guys are crazy!. (in a good way though)
Not only is this a Fire Hazard, but you'd need to take a number to get anywhere near the panels.
Hmm, not good!.

My eyes must be playing tricks on me. Is that NM exiting the tops of those panels - one of which has a "440 volt" tag?

Looks like "ELECTRICAL" ranks very low in uses for this room. I wonder if the room containing the MDP's is this bad?

I think many of us are the same way...who honestly can't resist the urge to go trolling for panelboards, electric rooms, transformers, etc. in any building we enter. The hum behind the door IS irresistable, isn't it?

Mike,
We had this thread YEARS ago. We did IN FACT decide at that time that 'lectric work was indeed an addiction, and personal inspection of everyone else's work was past that point to neurosis.

Don't figure anythings changed all that much.

Wow, you look at pictures like that, and you'd think that the janitor and the catering setup person have never even read the NEC.

At least they didn't leave the panel doors open on the circuit breakers. So junk pushed up against them won't jam a breaker.

How do you get hotel personell to let you into these rooms with a camera?

The doors were wide open, and the equipment was across from the ballroom where over 150 people were attending the 2-day seminar!
