Thanks Paul for all the info. I contacted the company that you referred me to, and am waiting for them to reply. I appreciate it.

Can't understand why they closed the original thread??? I was just trying to get some insight on working overseas...When for some reason other threads can have hundreds of replys???

Bill

Bill,

One of our firmest rules has to do with Politics. Once a thread starts going there it's time to close.

I agree. While it wasn't exactly political, I did sense a lot of the posts were beginning to move the thread in a wrong direction.. For myself, I am glad that you closed it- it avoided the namecalling and heated arguing and other bad kinda stuff one sees too too much of in online forums. Best to nip it in the bud before voices become angry.

You're most welcome.

And as our Webmaster (also named Bill) has hinted, it wasn't in any way your original query which resulted in the thread closure, just the potential development into political arguments.

Good luck with pursuing the work possibilities. I don't know if you've ever been over to the U.K. before, but if you want any specific information -- even if it's just trivial everyday little things -- feel free to e-mail me.

Political? Hardly. Opinions were made with a little sarcasm thrown in. Bill I respect your decision to delete posts as you see fit, it is your site. But to delete my remarks and leave Gloria's is really a shame. That post and maybe the whole thread should have been taken care of immediately. 2005, Stand up for America and you are shunned. How nice.

Ok and thanks...I'm still new here and didn't realize. I can understand that politics can be a heated topic, but I had no intention of making my post political. Just looking for infomation on work.

And PaulUK, if I get that response I mentioned earlier, I will email you. Thanks again!

Bill

Electricmanscott,

I agree with you to some extent. I didn't get there early enough to see what went before edits were made and other responses added. Your remark was more personal in nature and being at the end easy to remove without making things incongruous.

The thread was not removed immediately in consideration for the original topic author who was seeking information, but it will be gone by the end of the day.

Let's move on to what we are here for please.
