I had lunch a couple of days ago at this BBQ restaurant in Reseda, CA. (Really great food, but I think the chef may be doing the electrical work also!) I noticed the outdoor light fixtures on the brick posts, and they didn't look right.

Upon further inspection I found that they appear to be ceiling mount "porch" fixtures turned upside down and mounted on plywood! I couldn't tell if they were intended for outdoor use or not, however, there is no question they weren't intended to be mounted this way!

Also, note the light bulb, at the same restaurant. You can see the extension cord running to the permanent light fixture supplying the power!
