Hi, all.

I have two PCs in front of me, one using Windows Vista and a much older machine using Windows 98SE which I really do need to keep on there.

A while ago, I had to do the dreaded "Format C:" on the older machine because of a virus issue and in doing so, I lost Adobe Reader 6.0.2. Now, I can't seem to find that reader on line to reload it onto the older machine and the newer readers, so far as I can see, don't support Windows 98 SE.

Does anyone have a suggestion to offer about re-acquiring the older Reader?

Thank you.

Look through comtemporary install CDs, especially drivers for printers and scanners and such; many of them have adobe reader on them for viewing the instruction manual andd other supporting docs.

I was surprised the other day to discovered I'd only put Adobe 2.0 on my daughter's computer!

Adobe has several versions here.

I have a full version of 6 I could send you but that would be wrong. Let your conscience be your guide wink

You might try using Foxit Reader 2.0.

That site also has Acrobat 6.01 on it, but Foxit Reader works much better.

Good call on the Old Version site, Brian!,
as soon as I read the OP, that's what sprang into my head.

John,
The CNET downloads.com site has Adobe Reader versions available all the way back to 3.0.

Here is a link:

I agree on the old version site. That is really cool. I just got the AOL 7 package for this new to me XP machine. 9 is far too busy for me.

Got it! I went to a site where it could be downloaded and now all is well.

Thank you, everyone.
