Actually didn't use the backhoe this time - see the forklift in the distance? Limited to 5' at a time - the height of the Gen enclosure door.

I remember another pull - excavator used to position pulley above pipe - rope to pickup truck......

Was that little bucket of lube enough for the pull? Seems like you would need a heck-of-a-lot more than that in the pic...I could picture someone right at the stub up, guiding the wires into the conduit with a big vat of polywater right next to him. Using generous amounts of it for the entire length of the pull. So how were yall set up? Was any of my speculation the case?

The more polywater the better!

I used 3 buckets of lube for the pull - almost a bucket per pull. 3 helpers guiding wire off the spools and into the switchgear. I was at the stub-up, laying on a 2x10, waterproof gloves, doing the final guide into the pipe and slathering the lube. Continuous lube for the entire pull.
