Capt. Al performs Preventive Maintenance Inspections.

At a recent inspection he opened the outer door of a Square D I-Line panel and saw this;



Once he removed the outer trim the modification was more obvious.



If you are not used to working with I-Line panels you may not know that the inner trim takes up a lot of space. If you do not keep the wiring back in the enclosure you can not get the inner trim on the panel.

This is not the correct solution to the problem!!

I hope that that panel isn't subject to vibration of any kind.
What is the solution, mate?.
Another thing, I prefer Heat-shrink to tape to identify Phases.
Tape can lose it's adhesion in warm conditions.

Mike, A shutdown is in order to install the conductors so the I-line dead front can be installed correctly. Also will be installing a new Sq-d dead front. This was only one inventive wiring method found at this site.

Good Lord!, you mean there are more things like this around the place?.

Mike, I saw quite a few inventive ways. I thought after 28 years I would have a hard time being surprised. I was quite wrong in that belief.
