Heres a few pics that I took today. The 2 lightpoles are from my daughters daycare parking lot. The rest are from our area ball parks. Funny thing about the ballpark is that while I was there, I noticed smoke rising from the distance. Upon further investigation I found that one of the maintenace buildings had burned down and there was a small pile of rubble still smoldering. From the looks of the wiring around there I would suspect electrical.

Pic 1--Feed to scorekeeper rec.
pic.2,3,4,5 Service riser and overhead ltg.(no,it's not South America)
pic6 this 2 gang bell box and sealtite have been broken for about 2 yrs now
pic.7-a new pole was added in this parking lot a year or so ago and this is how the (oops I almost said electrician) idiot picked up a feed for it.Conduit enters thru handhole cover and then about 2 or 3 tubes of silicone seals it up.That wire coming out of the cover also, goes to a ground rod that was added by the pole.

Txsparky:
Considering how damp it appears in these pix, I hope you were using a long telephoto lens when you snapped these!

I'd hate to think about one of these circuits burning down and falling into a swarm of little ballplayers or their parents. [Linked Image]

Death-trap electrical in the parking lot maybe, but at least little Kayluh and Porter look cool getting out of their mom's $42,000 puddle jumper.

With a tuition of around a $1000 month per child you'd think they could afford a real electrician.

Burning the place down might be the most efficient way to begin the rennovation.
