I nominate this guy for a DARWIN award !

This Excavator operator had more than engine troubles, I saw this while doing a temp service Insp, you see the dark area on the track's? well that's fuel , it was running out of the eng compartment , while the guy was working on it , he said , he had put something there to catch it ! I said what? The battery charger???? The wind was blowing the fuel on the charger . And YES it is plugged in ! and NO it's NOT on a GFCI , and if you can see where the plug from the charger IS plugged in , the cord cap cover (el-cheapo) has slide off and the terminals ARE exposed .

HV,
A serv call I did to a Putney Vt. gas station revealed 38v from pump to ground ( I mean THE ground..), self servers were dropping the gas nozzel due to being bit.

The pump jockeys ( from the oil co) had changed out the pump, never made up the 3/4" GRC, and had left out the grounding conductor.

Although I have written this into the forum(s) a few times, similar scenario's are daily for me here......

here's a lil side note for ya,,,, you see that stake in the background?
well,,,,, it marks a 800 amp UG to the building,,,I keep my radio on scanner mode I'm just waiting to hear the call, they wanted to string a temp over this , I told them NO WAY dig the new service first,
They are putting in a new 800 and an additional 600 for the new building which will go around this.
after I saw this , I'm putting it in writing and sending it to all concerned to CMA

Fortunately, it's diesel, not gasoline.
An owner-operator-contractor I knew used to clean up his backhoe with gasoline...while whisky-drunk...while smoking a cigar.

Hey High Voltage you sure have yuor hands full up there. I can remember doing work in Mass. And if memory serves me right Air Recievers are supposed to be 12 inches off the ground and they ( inspectors ) check them by rapping the tanks with a hammer looking for weak spots.
Hmmm..maybe it just Mass...LOL

yuppers was LIVE!
This is the existing 800a ug ,,,they didn't want to put the new one in first, they are working around it ( the live one ) .
Looks as if I'm going to have step in here for safety .
