This was installed in the early 60's. I guess the requirements of "dedicated space" weren't enforced back then. (or it was inspected before the kitchen cabinets were installed)

Guys, I just worked in a box like this about 6 months ago. It is in a small town close to me that doesn not require or even have a city inspector. Job wouldn't have been bad except for the can of green beans I knocked out on my foot!

Now I understand why the 'Oil lamp' is there, it dont get any better than this.
