I'm actually impressed by the complexity involved here. You can't make out all of the mirrors and sensors from this pic. I kept it and thinking of re-locating it to the front of my garage.

Just out of curiosity, what are those two things with the orange/red bottoms to the left side of the post?

Looks to me like they might be plugs(cord caps) or some sort of cable clamp?

A friend bought the property and asked me to fix the drops "clevis attachment" before the utility co would turn service on. It turned out to be the least of their problems. When I walked inside the barn I found a massive machine shop wired in roughly the same manner. Previous owner... 95 year old genius/ pack-rat/ inventor. He wired everything himself, of course. The nearest home-depot is an hour drive thru the mountains. Materials have been very hard to come by until recent times. He got very creative with his wiring methods to say the least. New owners said that they scrapped nearly 50 antique electric motors and a several thousand worth of other copper and metal. I can barely get any work done there. All I want to do is look at the cool "junk" (as they call it) that the guy left behind.

They are cord caps.

It's not the service entrance.
