It looks like someone tried making a "steamboat" (those F-clips for boxes) out of an old bandage tin.

Wait a minute...I see a romex clamp in there. You reckon this might have been used as a J-box and this "engineer" used the band-aids as insulation for the splices? [Linked Image]

I'm not sure I'd classify this as a "new" device box All in all, of all the things I've seen used to enclose splices, I've seen worse! [Linked Image] At least they DID enclose it! Although I doubt Curad has applied for UL listing, did they bother to ground it? [Linked Image]

So, is the tapped 10-32 hole in the J&J jumction box marked for grounding?
