Open box: This box had no support, was laying on the ground, no GFCI receptacle, no KO seal, and the UF wire is subject to physical damage.

Broken receptacle: This box has no support, no ground fault protection, Type UF wire subject to physical damage, the wrong style of UF connector on top of the box!

Also, this box was used to run a submersible pump in the water fountain next to it!

Broken receptacle: This box was supported by one pipe coming up through the concrete.

This box was located in the pathway between the holes on the golf course. Also there is no ground fault protection.

Open wires: This one speaks for itself. People walk on the white stone
path, I don't know if there was any current in the wires. (I hope not.)

I've seen quite a few of these recently.
Especially after the landscapers went thru a few times.

I had a "maintenance man" at one of the golf cources that we work at, who said" he can do electrical" and he may have been the guy that did the ones in your photos. (Not at the clubs we work at.)
After he "did" 1 install, I can assure you that he will never do another as long as we work at that club.

There is a lot of "scarry" stuff around

The scariest thing is that this was at a minature golf course where lots of kids and adults play. Any child walking around waiting to play could touch anyone of these hazards. Almost every box, receptacle, light fixture, was broken and/or need of repair. There were more violations there but I ran out of film.

Needs an update.

Did you inform the local electrical inspector about the hazards you found?

Are they in your town, and did you mention this to the property owner?

I know that you did, but I too often call attention to hazards like these, and sometimes I am told to "mind my own business" and that's one of the reasons that, whenever possible, I include the city where I found the violations that I write about in the EC&M magazine.
