Looks like Pine [Linked Image]

Unbelievable!

This is not what I meant when I talked about the old beautiful oak load centers in the Lowe Motor Inn!

Anybody going to Point Pleasant, WV anytime soon?
Hey! That was my Cub Scout project fed from a pair of #6 dry cells in 1959. I always wondered what happened to it.

(The burn marks sure aren't mine!!)

Custom-made busbar assemblies our specialty.....
Great Idea! Those doggone knockouts in steel boxes are too much trouble anyway! [Linked Image]

Kinduva unique concept, too...a panel that can use virtually ANY kind of breaker! [Linked Image]

Is the NEMA3R version made from pressure treated stock?
Please tell me this was for demonstration purposes ONLY. You know like the 'See and Say' books we got for the kids.

Are those scorch marks on the wood???

Joe;
Thanks for re-opening this thread. Do you know anything about the history of this curious "panel"?

Mike (mamills)
From the Nebraska State Electrical Board:

This was a homemade electrical panel.

The inspector required the property owner to remove it.

The burn marks are from the torch used to solder the wires together at connections.

At least you don't need to worry about the "enclosure" becoming energized!
