Excuse me if this is the wrong place to ask the question.

I was wondering if anyone could help me out.
I don’t have a lot of knowledge when it comes to electrical work, especially in terms of electrical rules and regulations or codes.

My question is mainly related to large scale industrial/commercial buildings for a bus way service entrance.

I have been told that any electrical entrance (such as a bus way service entrance) that pierces through a wall from outside to inside a building must be insulated. I can’t find any Ontario code or regulation to confirm this.

If this is the case, does that mean the hole/entrance in the wall can be insulated with something as simple as, for example, a Ruxol™ material, or is there any specific insulation required for this?

12-018: "Holes in outer walls or roofs of buildings through which raceways or cables pass shall be filled to prevent infiltration of moisture." Other than that, insulation is probably dealt with in the National Building Code.
