Yep still looking for an apprenticeship, so sad, when you have to leave a perfectly good one, in the states.
Now down to it, anyone looking for an apprentice out there in ontario.

Is there any chance you might want to work in Alberta rather than Ontario?

I'll work just about anywhere, and with any company that can get me registered so I can get on with my career.

that's even to say that i'll work for free, just as long as i can get registered.

You can even post your own ad in there, won't cost you a cent, that may get more exposure than this forum.

One other thing, NEVER offer to work for free, no-one in this trade works for charity (with limits to that statement), regardless of how dire your situation is.
