Many mobiles here seem not to be certified for electrical even though some were build here in BC.



Is there anywhere i can find a list of what needs to be done for them to get certified by the BCSA.



these are the things in know so far




bond waterpipe &gas pipe if there is one



bond frame



bond skin



range and dryer not to be hardwired



gfci for outside, heat tape and baths



panels not to be in cloths closets



all electrical equipment to be working IE exhaust fans ,switches and receptacles also to be in good working condition.




hallway switch for furnace.



Insulation test and written record of test results on all branch circuits.




Anyhow does anybody have a check list for all of this they would like to share.

I have found quite a lot of info in section 70 for factory built but it would be nice to have all the info on a sheet.

I wish this was on the BCSA site but its not.

I may guide you something with related with the Mobilehome stuff and normally they are fall in under the HUD regulations and NEC did have few section related to that.

But i don't know if the HUD regulations do fall the same way as HUD regualtions [ i am not sure if that fall with IBC or IRC one of the two ]but if other have more info they can chime in here as well.

At one time somewhere in the bc electrical code there was a mention about relocatable mobile homes and date of manufacture. It seems to me that units built before 1978 or so had some special comments in the code maybe this has been rescinded but I have an older mobile to go look at to try and get certified.

Existing kitchen counter receptacles within 1.5 Meters of a sink
If these are only a 2 wire, I think they may be on seperate circuits Do they need to be changed to gfci if they are exsiting.

I just want to make sure I am reading this right .,

how often they should have electrical system inspected on the mobile homes ?

{ I heard only time they will reinspect if change owner or move to diffrent location }

Do the code requre to bring up to date after the electrical inspections is done?

I will add more question later when it do popped in my mind.
