Greetings ~

Can you inform me of the CEC residential requirements for any grounding electrode,and type needed ,in addition to the feeder ground conductor, at the detached structure,when a feeder is installed from the building where the primary service is located?

I also would like to know where this residential feeder disconnect is required to be located at this detached building.

Many Thanks

Ground system neutral at main service;

Ground neutral at second building to an electrode (no bond wire) or:

Run a separate neutral and bond wire to second building (not for buildings housing livestock)

Main disconnecting means required at second building in all installations at point of entry, adjacent to distribution equipment.

thank you,Tony M

The NtlElecCode NEC for USA requires a grounding electrode in all detached buildings where there is a sub feeder ran.

The CEC then,does not ,as it depends soley on the ground wire ran with the feeder?

thanx
