Can anyone recommend a good place to study for the C-7 License? I've been a Comcast Contractor, Dish Network, DirectTV, Done work for tons of hotels (CAT5 wiring, RG6, RG59 etc) I've always worked for companies with the licenses's already.... want to get my own license now for installing phone systems and computer networks.

I would just see if you can google up a study guide or two, then go sit for the test. If you have been in the business for the requisite number of years you should be able to fill in the gaps fairly easily.
I am not sure about California contractor tests but in Florida, the "business" and "law" part seems to be the big stumbling block.

In case some of you don't know what the California C-7 license classification is, it's an electrical license that's limited to low voltage work.

Dr. Digital: You'll have to be able to show 8000 hrs of journeyman level (or above) work to get your license. The easiest way is to get a former employer to sign a statement to that effect.

I agree with Greg, in that the business and law part is for some,the hardest part of the test.

I'd recommend some kind of "Licensing School", which will teach you not only the trade part (which you know already), but the biz & law parts. There are even some of them that offer a "pass or no pay" clause.

They have a good program. last time i checked it was $250 for a two day crash course one day on trade and one day law part. And they have a "pass or we will pay retest offer".
