There are a few estimate guides.

Let's give the guy the names of what we've tried. Maybe even share some feedback. After all, over time there have been some software developers who have 'tested' their stuff with this audience.

Anyone wants to keep their name out of the discussion, I'll be happy to post your feedback - PM me.

All software is tested on the customer's computer.

OK, I did estimating the 'old fashioned' way, for many years.

I created a spreadsheet when I got my first PC, think it was something called 'Lucid', the kind of graduated to Excel finally.

To this day I still receive sales calls from McCornick....even thou I hung up my tools in 2005.

I like a program called Electrical Bid Manager from Vision Infosoft. It's coupled with a pricing database called Epic, which can be used separately without Bid Manager.

Welcome to the forum.
Software, so many choices.

Your choice of software will be based off what type of work you are trying bid.
1.Commercial
2.Residential
3.Industrial
4.Residential Service work
In my opinion, there's not a one fit all solution.
We own and use many different estimating software packages.

What type of work do you want to estimate?
