I'm new so if this topic has come up before please excuse me.

I'm a licensed electricial contractor from NJ. I'm thinking of moving to Southwest Florida.
What is the process to take get a license there.
Is it hard? Is it a matter of just taking thier test and passing?

If anyone has this info., I would appreciate it.

Holts forum is way off on the Florida requirements, it is a lot more involved than what he has. Heres a link to the Florida licensing site.

You have to prove your experience, your experience must be at least 40% 3 phase, and they want the names and addresses. You need a decent credit report, post a bond ETC ETC ETC.

You may be better off getting a county license and then reciprocating to the surrounding counties.

Lonegunman, you have to use the link in the Holt information, it covers everything any prospective applicant would need for licensing
