Hi!

Just for fun I had a look in the the draft 2005 NEC on the web to see how hard it would be to fit metric sizes into the tables. (The result can be found in the Non-US area.) Anyway, to the question: How many of these tables do you use in the real world? 310.16 of course, but the rest?

I can't think of very many places you would use single insulated conductors in free air.

310.16 of course and once in a great while Table 310.20 Ampacities of Not More Than three Single Insulated Conductors, Rated 0 through 2000 Volts, Supported on a Messenger, Based on Ambient Air Temperature of 40°C (104°F)

Other than that I have not used the other tables.
