sizing gutters - 07/20/01 01:06 AM
Often times my project manager will insist that I use a gutter in lieu of a LB, to save money of course.
My question is how to interpret table(s)
373-6(a) and 373-6(b).If for example I were to enter the end plate of a gutter with 4 250mcm cables and exit through the back wall,I beleive I would use table (a). Would I go to the 4 wires per terminal column and use a 10x10 gutter with a lenght of 6x the conduit size?
Also If I bring my feeders into the top of a panel with lugs on the bottom do I need to use this table to determine if I have enough space to bring my cables down along the side and then bend 180 degrees up to the lugs?
thanks in advance, Barry
