How many of you have run into the Counterfeit SQ D breakers out there!! Theres thousands. Goggle it for more info if you haven"t heard of them Yet.

The differences are so subtle I doubt most people even know if they used one. The examples on the SqD web site are just the ones they found. You have to believe the counterfeiters saw that web site too and fixed those irregularities.

I've heard that the counterfeit QO's don't weigh as much as the genuine ones, the reason being they've got less innards, and they're only a switch.

We had a thread here about a year ago on this subject.

I would hope that the triple beam would be unnecessary at a reputable supply house! Don't the fake and/or gray market goods show up at small suppliers, as opposed to large chain (multi location) suppliers? I can't get a grip that a 'name' supplier...Cooper, Turtle & Hughes, Samson, Graybar etc. that are authorized distributors would have counterfiet items on the shelf.
