Will the 2005 NEC make these answers correct?

I have no comments and I posted this information for those who may have different opinions.

I am aware of the questions, often so old they can vote, and that the makeup of the Code Panels who attend these meetings are representatives of various electrical industry manufacturers.

If this is a waste of your time them tell me so that I can avoid sharing this type of information in the future.

I will simply comment that the question and answer for pre-twisting wires for wirenuts seem to be disconnected.

I suppose we are allowed to match up the questions and answers as we chose.

Answer: No, see 2002 NEC Section 110.3(B). They are not pre twisted during UL tests and in fact, pre twisting can possibly alter the torque effect of the connector’s design. Also, incidentally pre-twisting wires negates the benefit of these connectors. They do not have to be pre twisted as you would for wrapping with electrical tape. Installation instructions for such connectors are usually found on the smallest unit container and do not state to pre twist the connectors. Also, see UL 486A, section 20.11(d).
