I just purchased a 1000 watt generator (1000 Watt peak 800W continuous) rated at 115 Volts. I want to run a Greenlee vacuum blower off of this. I tried plugging in the blower and it worked. Is there a problem running this if the vacuum is rated at 1450 Watts 120 Volts? Will it damage the generator or the vacuum/blower or just run slower with less power? Any input or comments please.

If everything is as rated, then both the blower and generator will run hot. They will get hotter the longer you run them. Damage? Maybe not, as the OC devices should shut the power off before this happens.
It's your money, try it and report back to us.
