Hi Guys,
I'm looking to pick your brains.
A mate of mine is looking to quote on a Fire alarm system in a local Church here.
The apex of the roof is 50 foot high and the lower part of it 35 foot above floor level.
There are no sprinklers in this building, but what would you suggest?.
I'm thinking Smoke detectors, but where would you place them?.
What works with you?

Projected beam detector placed above the highest combustible material, and low enough to prevent missing smoke from stratification due to temperature. Sometimes requires more than one at more than one elevation to help with stratification. These detectors help reduce maintenance troubles of accessing them yearly (required in USA)

I have noticed a practice around here of using temperature detectors, and not smoke detectors, in such places. If the area is also subject to heating by the sun -as through a window- can require a higher temperature setting be used.
