These are some pictures of "Dave's Bar". Don't let the fact that it looks a lot like a shed decieve you [Linked Image]

Here is Dave's water supply:

And here is Dave's heating system:

And the electrical service:

And some of the electrical inside of the bar:

Ready for a cocktail from Dave's?

I've got plenty more pics of this gem if any one is interested, including more of the inside.

Looks like the sort of place mentioned in many songs....

"Two miles from town, cross the railroad tracks,
Turn right at the light, and park in the back..." {From "Good Time Charlie's"}

Is that 93 when these pics were actually taken? If so, is the place still there?

Hi Paul. Yes, these are from 1993. This was in the city that mother works as the chief building official. She closed the structure to occupancy and had teh board of health pay them a visit.

No, it is no longer there.

Love this guy, Dave!!!

Is Dave suicidal, very "frugal", or just an eccentric DIY'er?
(from the looks of things, maybe Dave is all three!)

Any type of Disclaimer to be signed before entering Dave's Bar?

I've heard of drinking bars and fighting bars but that might qualify as a suicide bar.

I was told 5150 was a police radio code meaning the guy you are dealing is crazy.

I understand thet inspectors went to this place all the time.... if they didn't feel the need for a drink before arrival, they did once they had a look-see!

I think I may have played that place back in my musician days... was probably too drunk to remember (thankfully)...

Did it smell like it looked?

Does Dave's have the Direct TV NFL package?

Obviously, it's not a laughing matter if this is indeed a place of assembly. But I have been to a few bars in NYC that have been far worse. I'm not really too proud of that either. It was back in my 'rocker' days.
