Looks like one of the sets from the black and white movie "Metropolis".......

If I ever build a time machine, I'd have to make it look like the first pic for sure. How cool is that?!

Wow! Looks like something right out of the 1930s Flash Gordon serials!

Here's another fantastic control panel, a 1930's beauty from one of the world's great powerhouses (they don't call 'em that anymore, do they?): London's Battersea Power Station.

Note the elaborate ceiling, and the clusters of giant meters near the windows toward the back.
