Worker Apparently Electrocuted Near Power Pole; Helicopter Transports Victim To ORMC
A man was rushed to Orlando Regional Medical Center Monday after being electrocuted while working near a power pole. The patient was flown to the hospital with burns over nearly half of his body, WESH NewsChannel 2 reported. He was working on a roof at Russell Aluminum in Sanford Monday morning. Fellow workers said he was found hanging from the pole, which was the apparent source of the shock. The man was reportedly alert when rescued.

This sort of accident(for want of a better term) could EASILY have been prevented.
My work as a Liney, would suggest that those lines SHOULD have been sleeved considering that there was a real danger of a beam contacting the passing wires.
Over here, we actaully perform this service for FREE, as in, we don't want our Lines damaged either, but I would be more than happy to go out and sleeve some lines, no matter what voltage they were, rather than have to go and investigate one of these shock incidents, as I have had to do in the past with Excavators and Cranes hitting the wires.
People should just take more care around Over-Head Lines, regardless of what voltage they carry.
