I have a Ridgid tool bag that needs to be retired. I really like it and unfortunately I can't find another one. Home Depot discontinued them. What tool bag/box do you own? I may have to find a new favorite.

I have a bunch of these - stackable - rugged... Also has a V-notch that makes it easy to cut conduit on.

This is what I use. Its a Home Depot Special (Husky). I like it because my hack saw and large drill bits fit along the side. It has a small storage container inside it for odds and ends. They even throw in a cheap water bottle. lots of room, pockets, and a carrying strap. Not expensive.

I too like these kind.

I just don't like the fact that you can't get a hacksaw in there without having to break it down.

I tend to use 16" standard toolbags. Really doesn't matter what the brand to me as they all lose their rigidity in about a year's time. Then I go buy a new one.

I am using an Irwin tool Bag. http://www.irwin.com/irwin/consumer...&navAction=pop&id=IrwinCat100533

I prefer used up spackle buckets. It's easy to lug around and my pouch fits in there nice. Tape, bx cutters, and various other "things" that I use often sit at the bottom of the bucket. The bucket also sometimes doubles as a step stool but shh, don't tell OSHA.

Then I have these.

1 for hand tools, testers, hacksaw, and specialty tools.

1 for cable television and telephone/ data tools.

And 1 for for all my drill bits, battery chargers, batteries, flashlights, portable cordless power tools, etc.

It's a PITA lugging all this stuff to and from my personal work truck to the companies work truck. I also have a backup set of hand tools, and pouch, in case something is ever lost or stolen so I am alsways prepared for work.

This puppy holds everything. My holehawg, band saw, hand tools,lasers,25' 100' 300' tape measures, dewalt set, numerous fish tapes, even hand tools. So much room, even enough for a shovel [Linked Image]

In a rarity I'm actually using a freebie bag I got w/ a doz bubble covers. Shoulder strap, pockets in and out all OK, BUT, if you find a good one that's white inside tell me. They're all like looking down a black hole. (where's my flashlight, I need a crimp.)

Veto Pro Pac XL, best tool bag ever. Pricey and a little heavy but otherwise great.

A little pricey? $100+ is a little pricey? LOL.

It had better hold up for close to a lifetime for that price.

I would be interested in hearing more about it though.

That bag looks pretty nice. Can you fit a hacksaw in it?
Shocked-" Enough for a shovel" Electricians aren't supposed to dig.

A big yes vote for the VETO tool bag. Yes the XL model will hold a hacksaw. However I clip mine to the side. In 32 years in the trade this is the best way I found to carry my tools. I bought the smaller model also for my insulated tools. Well worth the money and a 5 year guarentee.

Here's mine, don't know what model/whatever it is, only that it's made by Klien and it was replaced when Comcast bought the Adelphia office where my father works.

I'll second RobbieD's post. I've owned a half-dozen different bags and buckets and pouches, and that Husky tote has been the best so far.

The only down-side is that it holds so much stuff I'm consantly having the guys I work with grab that one odd-ball tool or connector that they wouldn't have otherwise.

BTW, Robbie: If you take out that cheap water bottle you suddenly have a perfect place to store a string-line. [Linked Image]
