if PEX (plastic waterpipes) are run to a whirlpool does the motor have to be bonded to the Service Gounding system? Im a lil confused? Been looking but cant find a definite answer. And since the widespread use of PEX it is a more common occurence. B4 pex it was a no brainer but just looking for a clarification. Thanks guys

You have to bond the motor to the metal pipe systems, and grounded metal parts in contact with the circulating water.
Most often that would be metal, hot and cold water pipe, and metal overflow / vent pipes that are associated with the drains which also could be metal.
These all have contact with the water.
No requirement to run a seperate bond wire to the service ground. The motor will be grounded by the three wire cord cap.

Edit to add that not all motors are metal either, I have run into some that are plastic and have no bond lug or metal exposed.
