When posting I see a lot of people using code sections in their posts.

Are you using the new 2005 code book, or are you still posting with your 2002 code book?

I know alot of jurisdictions have
not "adopted" the newer 2005 code book yet and am wondering how many electricains here have.

GA76Apprentice -

I have quoted the NEC a few times and I try to state which edition it is, which helps all of us be on the same page.

I think it would also help if there were a specific question about a certain jursidiction to know what year code they are using.

I don't know what edition NJ is on today ...the date is the 1st or the 15th ??? for the change from the '02 to the '05.

I usually put a notation after posting so we are on the same page.

Celtic:
As of today; still '02 in NJ. Unless the powers that be did something and didn't tell anyone yet. Then again, why tell the inspectors????

PS: Don't forget the 'grace period'

I still refer to the 2002 here in NJ for work, but in school we've been using the 2005.
