I just wanted to tell you all that I am very pleased with the group of people that we have here. You've all been very helpful and supportive of each other and it makes me feel like we're all part of a family here.

I think that we've all done a great job of avoiding potentially explosive topics and succumbing to the usual arguments that can divide any group or family. I'm confident that we can continue to bond and grow as long as we all remember why we're here and that sometimes we may have to choose our words carefully to not offend others and equally as important, not be quick to take offense.

Lets keep it going!

Bill,

This web site is a valuable resource we would all miss. I've learned much.

In my 28 yrs. in the trade I've learned Electricians are a proud group of Professionals. We don't like to be wrong. It's a good thing to be able to share ideas with other people at this message board.

The term "Uncle Rojosy" sounds quite silly!

Aw, shucks.... [Linked Image]

You make a good point Bill. Without the benefit of tone of voice, facial expressions, etc. written colloquial English could be misinterpreted sometimes.

I guess everyone here is just pretty well adusted and can take a bit of good-natured ribbing.

It is great to see such an intelligent bunch not duking it out over petty differences. I am out numbered, and out ranked for sure here but I am glad I have a "safe" place to go and learn something new.
It would be nice to actually meet some of you people in person, just to say hi and maybe shake a calloused hand or two.
Luv Ya Man.........

Bill:

Well spoken! I too, enjoy this board very much and have learned from the many replies and posts.

I support the entire process here and hope that we can all meet on common ground someday.

I can travel anywhere and would enjoy the trip.

How about Las Vegas? or maybe NYC?

Any suggestions?

Joe

Thanks to all for your comments and support. I think that above all, everyone that's interested in learning more, or sharing with others should feel welcome here, regardless of background or affilliations.

With that said, Hey, how about Orlando?
With the cool weather creeping in I'm already thinking of someplace warm to go!

Hey Bill,
"With that said, Hey, how about Orlando?"
Today...Sunny and breezy. Highs 74 to 77. Hurricane remnants, bet on high 80's next week.
Come on down. Plenty of romm at all the inns!
Thanks for running the most well organized and informative board.

Bill,

I agree. The electrical field (no pun intended) includes a wide range of specialty work. It is nice to be able to ask questions knowing that you will be offered help, and not ridicule. This allows us let our guard down and ask that seemingly "stupid" question. I point to my question about drilling beams, and the rapid flood of responses, as an example of this.
I also enjoy the having the opportunity to contribute what I can.

Thanks everyone,

Redsy

As an infrequent poster, I have to agree with all that is said about this board and the good people who post. Like all of you, I do learn a lot from this board. Everyone seems to like being able to help someone get a good solid answer to a seemingly "stupid question". Actually, as one of my teachers said one time, the only stupid question is the one that we never have the courage to ask. So, ladies and gentlemen, ask away and I'm sure someone out here will get you an answer.
My "Thanks" to all the frequent posters.

Now I know what they mean by "The mutual admiration society!!"

What I like is the idea of not just the freedom to ask any questions....but to answer also.

If the answer isn't the best or is missing something (it happens to the best of us.) You don't see 20 flames calling you an idiot or threatening to kick you off the forum.

Thanks everyone!
