I don't think there will be any problems in changing NEC in California, and welcome the 2002, as I don't have to by a new copy! [Linked Image] And changes are minimal....

But.... Changing California Title-24 is a different story, it is what I have described as "Draconian". Huge sweeping changes in design, that will defininately take the unaware by surprise.

Yes. It would seem that we citizens are just too stupid to make good decisions about what kind of lights we want in our homes, so our betters, in their infinite wisdom, are telling us what we are allowed to do.

Looks like plug-in lamps will be very popular.

I like the idea that the 2005 Title 24 is 151 pages long for both the residential and non-residential manuals combined.

The 2001 Title 24 Energy Code:

Residential Manual 286 Pages
Non Residential Manual 313 Pages
---------
599 Pages

Residential Appendices 256 Pages
Non Residential Appendices 314 Pages
---------
570 Pages

The book doesn't really make for interesting reading. I'll take 151 over 1166 any day! [Linked Image]
