Getting an Email from Photos@Electrical-Contractor.net is not possible.

There is no Email account set up with that name. When there is no email account set up we can still get email addressed to that address, but not send it.

You've been 'spoofed'.
If you check into the headers you should see the real email address it came from somewhere up there.

Hi Ryan, the virus may be in you own address, or outlook cashe. It also, may be in ECN's server, as an HTML virus. I find it funny when I get e-mails from my own web-pages. One that worms in to stored html code, then takes all e-mail links, or hyperlinks then reports back to a bot, that sends out the virus. The same happens in Outlook all the time, as the virus gets in via an e-mail, and attacks your address book. A re-load of the site, or virus software on your own computer may be in order. I'll let you know if I get anything though, good luck, and hope it works out.

Ryan, I switched to Apple in 1988. Used dial up until 2 yrs ago, now on cable. Never had a virus, worm, or trojan ever. Just something to consider..

I got an Email Yesterday say hi ECN Member this is not spam but please click this link to win a flat screen tv. It went on to say that this is not spam and the sender was a member at ecn and had posted. I just deleted the email and he said he may send again???

My ISP didn't even put the actual message in my inbox, only the warning.

It may have even generated out of your ISP? Certain spyware virus's will "watch" trafic, and and fill out "form letter" type virus filled e-mails to be sent from any host. Unfortunatley these form letters are set up to have information that will be familiar to you, so you will open it the can of worms, so to speak.

I recently dropped my former ISP, because they could not control the amount of attacks on their system. I got constantly bambarded by e-mails asking to "Re-new my account info" Saying that they lost all of my credit card information that was used for billing. Account number and CCV #, a few asking for my Social.

Hackers and scammers are everywhere, now all they have to do is write a simple program and walk away. If good enough, they are undetected by five degrees of association (Figurativley).

Funny thing is, hackers are required to be able to track these guys down. Someone has to write a virus to attach, that will ping back the path and final destination of stolen information.

The email address you posted does indeed belong to someone registered at ECN. Maybe he will shed more light on these emails and why he sent them to you.

Hehe, welcome in da club! I've always been using Apple too and never had any trouble either.

I got the "Free TV" mail too, by some guy I'll just call J. C. here. Judging by the list of recipients it was sent to all the regulars here.

I didn't get one! I guess I don't post enough---I want a TV!
