We had a really good bunch of people in there last Friday night, a few that were new to the Chat thing, also!.
But, if you are new to Chatting, by all means, have a go at it, I'm sure you will enjoy it, as you will be warmly welcomed into the frey and there is no Bad Language or people putting everyone down, It's safe!!.

There doesn't have to be a scheduled chat, you can drop in or arrange to meet other Members at any time.

We've got an 'away' room where you can go if you're staying online but not actively participating in the Chat. This way other people can still contact you directly with a private message (aka 'PM'), and if you've got your sound turned up you will hear a 'PING' when it happens.

That's a great idea!.

Here is an idea.
How about a Chat-a-thon, one weekend in the near future?.
Get as many people as possible in the Chat rooms, and see who can last the longest.
Rooms will be opened up as numbers dictate.
Plus you are allowed to use the Private Messaging feature too!.
I say Friday 4th of June onwards?.
Sort of like a Tele-thon, but it's not.
No money changes hands!.
Just an idea, are YOU keen?.

I've am having problems connecting to Chat?

Seems that it is tring to download java, I have it already but keeps trying to download.

Excuse my ignorance but I don't usually go into cahts so this is kinda new and would like to join in.

any help would be appreciated, I'm not computer illiterate but this one has me stumped?

Just a small point, but a point none the less.
I take my hat off to guys like Doug Wells who use the Away Room as it is meant, for people that are still in the Chat rooms, but are not actively using them.
Sure I have turned out to a no. of Fire calls and I should use that room, I just never have time to change rooms and muck around.
But, the method in the madness here, is this, the one thing that get's my goat, are those that when asked to respond to a question or so forth, just log off, things are getting better now.
If you are going to join the Chat rooms, for God sakes use them to thier fullest.
Even if there are too many people for your liking in one Chat room, Private Message one of us Moderators or Bill to open a new room.
The options are open to YOU guys!.
Admin and Moderators are here for your service.
Use the Chat area as you will, that's what it is there for!.

So about 7-8 hrs that means I can join you Saturday, at about 7 in the morning (I'm an early waker) That is midnight. Is that okay?

BTW, It's that time of the week when we all get silly and get connected to the Internet at the same time and blow a bit of steam off!, so if you feel like doing this with the rest of us, be my guest, no subject in particular, but between the rest of us in the Chat room, we can solve almost any problems that crop up!, TRY US!.
That's why it is called a General Chat night.

The reason I ask that, Bill, is because I had an idea that, could we have a Quiz night, on General Knowledge questions?.
I'm sure that I can put some questions together and I would be open to suggestions from the members that use the Chat rooms.
Would this be viable, Bill?.
Or even possible?, having a few members in the room, could make this sort of really un-wieldly and negate the whole thing.
What do you think?.
