These people are getting more creative in trying to fool people into infecting their computer. The last few days I have received several emails similar to the one below. The attached file they want you to read is a virus.

Dear user of Caselectric.com e-mail server gateway,

Your e-mail account will be disabled because of improper using in next
three days, if you are still wishing to use it, please, resign your
account information.

For more information see the attached file.

I've had those. My son builds/repairs computers for a living and he says "if you dont know the sender and it looks suspicious, DELETE IT!" Works for me.

My son installed "Netscape" on my computer. It seems to be working better, and blocks out a whole lot of pop ups etc. that I was having problems with in "internet explorer".. Steve

I've been receiving some of the same type of emails . I'm currently using a Anti-Virus program called ( Avast ) it works really well on stopping alot of stuff . It's similar to Zone Alarm , but alot better.

I've been getting a couple of e-mails a day from various MAILER-DAEMON "Mail Delivery Systems"
Subject: Undelivered mail return to sender.

"This is the Postfix program at host rosalind.planitis.net" or some other such balderdash.
Then, I'm asked to download an attachment, "attachment21" Yeah, right.
Beneath, it shows a phony baloney returned email from me to someone I never heard of.
(Timestamp says I sent it midmorning, when I'm not home and the computer is turned completely off)
Then they ask you to download another attachment, "document_george.p.zip". NO

If you get these, delete them to your trash, and then manually dump the trash.

Some more tips for users of the ubiquitous Outlook Express:

1. Go to View -> Layout and turn off the "Show preview pane" option. That will stop some insidious software from trying to install when the preview window opens and you can delete the message if the subject line shows that its obviously junk.

2. Go to Tools -> Options -> Security, and set the Security zone to use the IE restricted area settings. Then within Internet Explorer, go to Tools -> Internet options -> Security -> Restricted sites -> Custom level. Then disable everything.
