While I was surfing the web looking for breakers at E-Bay, i ran across the following. Check them out. Good for a couple of laughs!!

Federal Pacific Deal and 800amp breaker?

no use for the big one, but I can probably squeeze a few more of them skinnies into my already packed 100A box! The more you pack in, the better they stay!

I hate to breaker to the guy, but that's not a 800 amp breaker, but just a 200 amp main.

Now what exactly would you use a 4 pole 200 amp breaker for? And I wonder if those FP breakers have any scorch marks on them...

Notice the shape of the terminals at the bottom of the picture. It is a 400A two pole main built up from four 200A single pole parts.

I think the GE is actually a 200 Amp main breaker.
The FPE's may be "late model". The old FPE's had yellow UL labels until they had their "falling out". When they were allowed back on the market again, (reportedly after some payola) they had a dark pink UL label.
BTW, Schneider still produces Stabloks, under the name "Federal Pioneer". Click here . A company called UBI also makes replacement Stabloks in China...S
