One of the best things about this board is that we know we're not alone, there is someone out there who is having or has had similar problems.

I've not only been thinking about everyone here, but telling people on the jobs about everyone and about some of the threaded discussions we've encountered!

I don't drink anymore [gave it up in 1992], so I used this forum for the afterwork relaxation deal. I'm afraid to touch Beer!!! Once in a while I'll have one, and I'm sure if I had one more, that would be 12 more!!!
One example was this recent Newyears' eve party. One Beer led to 2, then 4, then 8 [like binary!!!]. By 12:00, My Wife and I were POLLUTED!!!
I won't even cover the Newyears' day feeling [Linked Image]

Scott,

I've been known to suck down a long neck or four. All I can say is, thank God they all don't taste as good as the first one, there'd be no stopping.

Just hop on a plane to London and find a pub. Order a pint of bitter and then drink it served at room temperature, like the locals.

If that doesn't put you off beer, nothing will!

Beer: One is too many. 100 aren't enough.
I normally come home, suck down a cold Pepsi, and sit down to the computer until my wife gets home.
I've got a good life (went albacore fishing today)
About once a month I barbeque at my friend's, drink a google of beer, eat like a pig, and spend the night in my sleeping bag on the couch. (all preplanned)
None of this stops me from thinking about the discussions here on these forums.(I'm always looking for pictures)
I've learned a lot from all of you guys.
My forum activity was even mentioned on my probationary review with the new company last week as a big ++.
Thanks! [Linked Image]

Thanks, Bill.
In this case a google of beer is as much as we can fit in the refrigerator and as many ice chests as are available. Coors was kind of misleading when they said the "Silver Bullet(Coors Light) won't slow you down"
Heck, enough of them will bring you to a total stop.
Even had somebody call the cops on one of our loud parties. We were discussing my buddy's grandpa, and listening to Bach very loud. The cop laughed like crazy and told us to shut up and go to bed. We complied.

A Google is 10 to the 100th power:

10,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000, 000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000

A google was named by a mathmatician's young child.
A goolgleplex is that number to the 100th power... I won't type that one out!

It is a very large number.

Also, Google is the best search engine ever made!

googol

>A goolgleplex is that number to the 100th power
googolplex
I have not heard that definition before.
The only definition for googolplex I've seen is ten to the googol. http://public.logica.com/~stepneys/cyc/g/googol.htm

>Google is the best search engine ever made!
That's a different spelling.

I plan to pick all your brains when the 2002 comes out, collectively this is far better than all those lame updates i usually attend.

as to the 'google' , it is numbers beyond my conception. I can close my eyes and visualize 9 items, in 3 sets if I concentrate...I can open my wallet and maybe get into a second digit....I understand there are african tribes who have no # after 3....( just tryin' to make myself feel good)

We have some English "tribes" who can't get beyond counting to 3 after a few of those beers...

Lest not we forget Barney Google, the star of the cartoon show of the same name.
I can count to 19, unless you're supposed to also count the finger you use for pointing at the rest of your fingers and toes. Then it's whatever number comes after 19.

I stand corrected... Googol...

However.. "A google of beer" sounds like a quantity to me... Not a search engine...

My "bad" as the kids say...

Googolplex = 10 to the googol... yeah, Dspark you may be right, either way it's too large for me to fathom!
