The second power cord's ad says it has a #7AWG ground, and list price is about $1000.

A genuine bargain at only $200 [Linked Image]

These audiophile guys are nuts. I once Had a customer want me to change his service cable out to Copper, I asked "what about the poco's AL underground wire"? He got a quote from the poco to rewire to the house and gave up. He did have me rewire one circuit to dedicate an outlet and use a hospital grade receptacle.

The ultra-hip “Wattgate 320” female connector used on a number of these hotshot cords is often a rebranded Marinco 320IEC13 or 320IEC15. If you like to make up your own AC cords with bulk SJT cord for gear that mates with IEC320 ‘C14’ inlets, the best price seems to be from GALCO at ~$14 each for small lots. The Marinco parts are kind of a sub-average-quality part—especially given their ‘wholesale’ price compared to other NEMA-type molded-nylon cord caps.
