Any one here used one ??

I bought one a few weeks ago and am well pleased with it.

Fitting Downlights, Strip lights, conduit etc.. fast and no mess. Also i made up a holder (bit of wood with a few screws) so i can fit a decent spirit level to it as the ones on it are a bit on the small side.

I have not used one.

I remember laying fixtures out (years back) using the ceiling guy's lazer level and it was a dream. But back then his tool cost $5000.

I've seen similar tools at the depot, but never looked close enough to figure how it would benifit me. Can you explain how it works and how you use it?

Thanks.

I do have a straight line and it is pretty handy. But if you like that you'll love the PLS 5, it is self leveling and has five different lasers. You can check areas for square, lay out recessed lights on the floor and shoot the beam to the ceiling and there is your centerand it is great to use as a room benchmark.(No Ido not work for them i've just been a fan for the past four years).
