hey i was wondering if you could inform me of what the code is for how far an outlet has to be away from a gas line for an stove. Is there such a code and if there is what is your method of finding it the code book? I tried looking for one but got to frustrated and stopped.

I don't beleive that there is such a provision.

...I ain't never heard of any such "thang"....I would put it up high enough,tho',so you can still lean over to plug it in, with the stove in your way...

And remember - despite the fact that the pipe is already there (as well as gas pipe being the immediate ancestor of RMC)...

You cannot simply run the required wire through the gas pipe!

I have one right behind the stove (120V). I guess it was for if my stove had a oven light and a clock. but it does not just a piolet light lit one.

thanks guys for the info. I had talked to my other friends but they didnt know either.
